Ava Lemert

Designer, illustrator, photographer, musician, composer, vocalist, and member of the Recording Academy, Alliance for Women Film Composers, BMI, and RIAA (ISRC Registrant). I did my first design gig at the age of 12, my first paid artist job was at age 16 as a clerk, tshirt artist in a Mall, by college, I was supplementing my student worker job with freelance work for other students and campus organizations, this is when I started advertising my freelance work with flyers posted around USC. After graduation, I broke new ground designing on the Nintendo platform for commercial in-flight passenger entertainment systems in 1995. Not long after that, I moved onto a new frontier: designing aesthetics and graphical user interfaces for commercial websites for a dial-up Internet access company in Irvine, CA. There was Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Mosaic for browsers, as you might imagine, we were changing the "face" of the internet, quite literally. By 1997, I was at another innovation firm, a microchip stacking design lab, where I was the photographer (macro lens on a 35mm film camera which I had to learn on the job how to use), website designer, copy writer, and was also administrator of their technical manual database. It's been a long road, I've been a little bit of everything design-related. As a musician, I create my own logos, my release artwork, websites, printed materials and still, occasionally, freelance design for others.
